Huguenot Peak via Miaspoort Trail, Paarl

The Miaspoort Trail (Italian cross) is an out-and-back trail, located just before Du Toitskloof pass on the R101. The trail is roughly 7km from Paarl, with the start of the trail located on the Paarl side of the Du Toitskloof pass. It is rather steep to start but then levels off before another slight incline to the Italian Cross. Loose rocks do test ones patience coming down but manageable if done slowly. A box with a visitors book can be found on the summit and you are rewarded with stunning views over Paarl and the Winelands.
